Green Drinks: Tahuna’s Pedal Power with Sustainable Queenstown

There’s no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about. Which is exactly why Forward exists.

We want to bring people together over a common love for riding and the stunning place we call home, so we can help protect it and regenerate it for generations to come.

Most of us have the ability to contribute our time, voices and resources to causes that impact us locally. The first step is finding our people.

With that in mind, last weekend we partnered with Sustainable Queenstown on a Green Drinks event to come together and show up as a community. With 60+ people there, it proved to us that people do care, want to connect, and want to make an impact in their local area.

Thanks to everyone who came to the mixer at Altitude Brewery where we were joined by QT Trails, QMTBC, Lightfoot Iniative and One Bike, and heard about the potential of Queenstown’s cycling community to move the needle in sustainable transport and sports activism.

A group led by Co-Founder Ben Hildred also undertook a casual 100km commute to the event for his SRAM XPLR The Basin ride on the new Wharehuanui Trail? How epic is it to have incredible trails in our backyard that everyone can use and enjoy?
